Gettin' Our Groove On

After being cooped up in the house all week with bathroom renovations going on & with Seth out of town, Wyatt & I decided to venture out this afternoon to check out the Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival in Silk Hope, NC. We had a great time - I felt like my old self at a hippie music festival, only this time responsible for a small child of course... Here are some pics from our adventures!

Wyatt's favorite part was riding into the festival on the trailer being pulled by a real farm tractor!

Enjoying some bluegrass by Big Fat Gap

Looking at the wooden carvings for sale - this one looked a bit like Santa

Wyatt spotted this chicken behind the food stand!!

Enjoying some delicious festival food

Rolling in the grass laughing...doesn't get much better than this

Very intrigued by the people hula hooping

Enjoying an ice cream cone from a local creamery

Grassroots is so fun! When we lived in Baltimore we would drive up to the same festival that is in Ithaca NY... alway a fun, hippie filled weekend. Looks like W loved it!! Who wouldn't with that big ice cream cone?!
